The Dalton Group have installed a New Lefort Konkeror 600 shear baler in their yard by the docks in Leith. This new machine came on the market at short notice and was snapped up quickly by the Dalton family. The machine has pride of place in the designated shearing corner, of this busy yard. Upon arrival the machine was installed on its base, checked and put to work. It has immediately provided further efficiencies to this well run, Scottish yard.

The machine forms part of the ongoing investment and growth that is happening throughout the Dalton Group yards within Scotland.

Stephen Dalton, Director, was full of praise for the machine, “It has been working very well, without issue and is an excellent machine for our size of yard, in terms of its production capability, its size and strength”.

The machine with its efficient Scania 400 HP engine, 6 metre charge box and full automatic greasingsystem is providing the processing power to shear the scrap into a more dense product. By having full weights for transporting the final product and producing a more compact and saleable product for themarket, this provides a large cost saving .
